You just have to look at the pictures to see that conditions were bad. However the animals died, they clearly were not being looked after.
The horse that was rescued was described as underweight. It would need to gain a lot of weight to be considered underweight. The horse was starving.
I just hope they are able to save her.

The real question is how could this go on so long and nobody be aware? If it was not reported, why not? If it was reported, why was nothing done?
It is the responsibility of all of us to prevent animal cruelty.
