Litter of kittens found in a cardboard box - Catherine - 10-01-2024

Someone left a box of kittens in a cardboard box at Thetis Lake near Victoria, B.C.
The kittens were probably only 7 weeks old and possibly  lived outside.
They had respiratory infections and are now being treated for them.

What kind of person leaves a litter of kittens like that. They could have died. They had no food or water.
A wild animal could have attacked them. The person did nothing to ensure the kittens would be found in time.
Definitely the kittens are in better hands now.

It’s really sad that someone left those kittens in such a dangerous place. They were only 7 weeks old, so they needed help, not to be left outside. Without food or water, they could have gotten really sick, or even worse, a wild animal could have attacked them. It’s scary to think that the person didn’t even make sure someone would find them in time. Thankfully, now they’re safe and being treated for their infections. They’re definitely in better hands now.

They could have dropped the kittens off at the local animal shelter. They could have placed them where they would be found quickly.
Just leaving them in a box in the cold was an act of cruelty. You have to wonder if they have other animals they are neglecting.
