Animal shelter takes in 1000 mice - Catherine - 11-17-2024
Mice do multiply quickly and someone had a lot of mice. When he turned them in to the shelter there were 1000.
Some have given birth since then, so there are more. The shelter is struggling to sort them out and keep them fed and watered.

They really need help. They need to get as many as possible into foster homes. It helps that other shelters are taking some of the mice.
There are so many that they could multiply faster than the shelter can process them. It is ambitious of them to even try to sort this out.
This is one reason why small rodents are not the best pets. They have so many mice to deal with that they will not be able to sort males
from females before there are more mice pregnant again. I wish them luck and I hope a lot of other shelters can take a number of mice.
They are going to need the help.
