Hundreds of horses, ponies, donkeys and pigs displaced by the fires have been taken in. Staff and volunteers are receiving the horses and even going to evacuate them. People are even risking themselves to save animals.

This is a terrible disaster. It is far from over. People are doing everything they can to rescue animals and take them in.
We will never know all the heroes that are out there, but there are many. Just being willing to take in hundreds of horses is heroic. All those horses have to be cared for and they are being cared for by dedicated, caring people. You have to respect and admire these people. They are incredible.
