California wildfires a tragedy for wildlife - Catherine - 01-18-2025

Many homes have been burned in the California wildfires. It is a tremendous loss.
Another tremendous loss is the homes of wildlife. They can't just go and stay somewhere else. They rely on the natural habitats of the area.
Without the natural habitats, survival is at risk for many species.

These animals are at risk because of some much habitat loss. Species that depend on these species are also at risk. It will be hard for the area to recover if the wildlife doesn't recover with it. This is a very serious part of the devastation. Houses can be rebuilt. Habitats are harder to restore.
