Golf course apologizes after holding fox cull - Catherine - 04-04-2025

A North London Golf Club held a fox cull. The Enfield Gold Club carried out the shooting of foxes on March 26. Since many foxes will have given birth already, babies will have been orphaned. Since they are still very young, without their mothers, they will not survive.
Wildlife groups in the area are very upset. The local MP is very disturbed by the action.

The club now says it did not sanction the cull. However, the cull took place on Golf Club land.
How would people with guns roam the golf course all night, shooting foxes and nobody question them.
If it wasn't sanction, they shouldn't have been able to get on the gold course and stay there.

The club should at least be fined or sanctioned in some way. That doesn't do the orphaned babies much good, but it least would acknowledge that something wrong was done.
Personally, I think the golf course should be turned over as a wildlife refuge. It would be doing the environment a favor.
It could be renamed Fox Woods. I bet no other golf course would risk doing a cull again.
