A cat broke into a greenhouse...guess why - Catherine - 04-10-2025 There is a greenhouse at a mental health hospital in the UK. It is a beautiful relaxed place, until one day there was a break in. The would be criminal came in through the skylight on the roof, with one intention in mind. The catnip plant! The staff who spotted him let him be since he was having such a good time with the catnip plant. https://www.thedodo.com/daily-dodo/guy-sees-a-cat-broke-into-his-greenhouse-then-discovers-the-reason-why Cats just can't resist catnip. This cat knew the plant was there even though it was inside a closed greenhouse. How clever of him to come in through the roof. I bet he left nothing behind. I planted a catnip plant in my garden once. That night my neighbour's cat came over the fence and got the plant. He rolled all over the catnip and left hair everywhere. That is how I knew which cat was responsible. From the footprint evidence, it looked like he danced on it. He ate the whole plant. He even ate the roots. I just wish I had seen it. It must have been really funny. RE: A cat broke into a greenhouse...guess why - Aussienan - 04-10-2025 That's so funny my cat Edward has no reaction what so ever to catnip. RE: A cat broke into a greenhouse...guess why - Catherine - 04-11-2025 Edward doesn't react to catnip? That is unusual. Most cats react, some more than others. He is missing out on something that makes a lot of cats happy. I have seen cats lie on the floor and drool. They can barely walk. I have seen some get hyperactive. Climbing into a greenhouse through the roof is a pretty extreme response. The cat really did look happy with the catnip. |
