Oil Company fined for burying bird nesting site - Catherine - 07-05-2025

Suncor in 2023 failed to protect a Bank Swallow nesting site.  They have been fined $5000.00 for the incident.
It is good that they were held accountable, but that is not a lot of money for a big oil company.

This is not the first time they have caused bird deaths. They are obligated to take precautions to protect birds, but they are not that good at it.
As long ad the fines are so low, they probably won't get any better.
