Marine life poacher gets six years in jail - Catherine - 07-30-2025
When we think of poaching we think of land animals. Scott Steer has been poaching sea cucumbers. He has done different things to get away with poaching.
He has been caught before. He was catching and selling thousands of Kilograms of sea cucumbers. He was violating protected areas. He has no intention of stopping so they sent him to prison.

A jail sentence at least sends a message. We don't tolerate poaching on land or sea. Scott Steer won't change, but the sentence might make other poachers stop what they are doing. The ocean is not an unlimited resource.
