Lost puppy found by a drone - Catherine - 12-28-2025
Five month old Shade got startled while on a walk. He took off. It was freezing cold and after 24 hours of searching no one could find Shade.
Finally, someone recommended the USAR drone team. They are a veteran based non profit group. They do use a thermal camera with the drone.
It took 41 minutes to find Shade. He was only 2 blocks from home.

We are finding good uses for drones. Instead of bothering wildlife, we are finding lost dogs.
Let us hope they can do more good things like this.
