Dingoes found near dead woman to be culled - Catherine - 01-26-2026
This is a sad situation. A Canadian in Australia went for an early morning swim.
Much later she was found dead on the beach surrounded by Dingoes. Autopsy results confirmed that she died of drowning.
The Dingoes did not kill her. They did bite her already dead body. Now the plan is to kill the Dingoes.

It is sad that a young woman is dead. Who knows why she drowned. Maybe swimming alone in a strange place is not a good idea.
She loved animals and nature and I doubt she would want the Dingoes to die. They didn't actually hurt her.
Do they even know that the Dingoes that were seen near her body were the ones that bit her. Why do we always want to kill things.
It won't bring her back.

The young woman drowned she was working on the other side of the island went to that side for a swim the dingo bites were post mortem,there are warning sides on the side of the island she was on her own her parents said she was an avid environmentalist and wouldn't want this to happen.

It is a sad situation, but she wouldn't have understood the ocean currents where she was swimming.
Anything could have happened. The Dingoes were probably curious when they found her.
That doesn't make them dangerous, or at least no more dangerous than any wild animal.
It will be sad if they do kill them. It just adds one tragedy to another.
It does emphasize the fact that we need to be careful when we are in a strange place. Swimming alone might seem like fun, but it can be risky.
Being alone where there would be a number of wild animals is risky too. As you say, there were warning signs.
