Rescue of Marineland's Belugas begins - Catherine - 07-21-2026

After all the talk, finally some of Marineland's Belugas are being rescued.

The first six will fly out of Pearson Airport. Four are going to An Aquarium in Chicago and two are going to Texas.
The rest will be moved soon.
Rescue is a relative term. They are not going to a sea sanctuary. They are going to different aquariums.
The whales have been together and now will be split up.
They are being moved. Will they survive the trip and what kind of life will they have in future.

It is happening and I hope the Belugas survive the trip.

It must be so traumatic for the whales. They don't know where they are going. They don't know if it will be alright.
I just hope things go well for them. They have suffered enough just being at Marineland.

The six whales have arrived safely.

I am sure the staff at the new aquariums are going to do their best.
It is not a good situation, but it is still better than what the whales have experienced.
I hope the whales can settle in and have good lives.
Now they just have to move the rest of the whales.
