Humpback Whale sightings down 60% off of Australia - Catherine - 08-05-2026

Western Australia Humpback Whale sightings have dropped by 60%. Sightings of sea birds increased, but the birds were in poor condition.
Something is happening to the oceans in that area.

None of this is good news. The ocean in the area has become warmer and it is affecting marine life negatively.
How much damage there is and what the long term consequences are in unknown. The area will need to be watched.
Is this a sign of bigger more serious changes in the oceans? It is possible. Any ocean change is not a good sign. Changes in the patterns of marine life behavior
can mean serious changes are taking place. We should be worried.
