Wildfire rescue animals coming to southern Ontario - Catherine - 08-07-2026
Western Ontario is in a real crisis because of the wildfires. Animals are being evacuated in large numbers.
Pets that could be reunited with family are being fostered closer to home. Strays and surrendered animals will be given a new chance
by the shelters farther away.

I understand many animals are already here in Toronto. I know the Toronto Humane Society has been receiving animals.
Somehow with all the shelters helping out, all the animals will be looked after. They will find good homes. It will all work out because everyone who can help will help.
