Paws in the Pool - Catherine - 08-30-2026

With summer coming to an end, many public pools will be closing soon.
For Lethbridge Humane Society this is a unique fund raising opportunity.
They hold a Paws in the pool event. The day after the pools closes, dogs will be allowed to swim in it.
There will be music and food and of course, the pool. For a small donation, dogs and their people are welcome.
It benefits the Humane society and  it gives dogs a wonderful outing.

I think it is a great idea. The dogs love it. I believe other places do similar things with their pools.
Dogs really love a chance to swim in a pool. The pools get cleaned the next day so it is alright.
I just wish the dogs could swim all summer. They would love it.

I knew there were more dog pool parties coming up.

Toronto is hosting free dog swim days at a number of pools in September.
I am sure if you live in a city with swimming pools there is a chance of dog swim days as the pools close for the year.
If there aren't, it would be worth contacting your city and asking why not. Dogs love a chance to swim in city pools.
