It's Fat Bear Week - Catherine - 09-24-2026
Fat Bear Week as started in 2014 to draw awareness of the Alaskan Black Bears and how much weight they must gain to make it through their winter hibernation.
It has become a fun thing that people vote on from all over the world. This year there are 16 bears going for the tittle. There is still time to vote, so pick your favourite chubster and help him win.

Last year 1,700,000 people voted from over 100 countries. Last year Chunk won at approximately 1,200 pounds.
I wonder if he will win again or if there is a heavier bear going for the tittle. So remember to vote we shall see who wins this year.

I don't think Chunk stands a chance this year. Bucky is a pretty big bear. Backpack is no small contender.
Marshmallow could take the prize. She is carrying a lot of weight. She looks like she has gained the most.
I wonder what everyone else thinks.

He is one big bear. He deserves the win. He will have no trouble making it though the winter.
