The fashion industry is now using Ostrich feathers instead of fur. They claim they are cruelty free, but that is not true. The feathers are taken from live birds in ways that are distressing and painful.

Why can't the fashion industry figure out what cruelty free means and do that.
Cruelty free means not doing cruel things. Nothing they use in producing their fashions should come from any animal that is made to suffer.
Is it so hard to check any animal products used in production and make sure the animals didn't suffer.
I think these big companies don't care. They pretend to be cruelty free because the customers care. So, as customers, we need to push harder.
