I don't think they deserve commending. The things they've put in place like extra security around the horses, being able to head straight back to the mounting yard, no giant flags, extra vet facilities etc should be in place regardless. Not after public condemnation. Not after the death of an innocent horse.

Good point, but I think it is important that they responded right away. There might have been other accidents, but they prevented them.
