The Amazon is burning
#1
The Amazon is on fire. Vast stretches of forest are being destroyed. Countless numbers of animals will have perished.
The air quality for the region and indeed the whole planet is at risk. It is a global crisis and nothing is being done.

Whole species could become extinct because of this. Certainly many will be at risk.  Because the smoke travels animals outside of the amazon will be put at risk.

It is clear that the role the Amazon plays on a global scale is not being understood or respected. Ecology and conservation have to exist on a global level. The whole planet is effected by these fires. All countries are going to have to come to a level of conservation and preservation of our planet. Failures don't just effect the country that fails.
Brazil is burning its rainforest, but our air is being effected. The temperature of the whole planet will rise because of this. Many species will not survive.  All of us need to be aware and do anything we can to fight this disaster.

Good news in the midst of a crisis. After some serious tensions between nations, Brazil is willing to accept aid from other nations to fight the fires in the Amazon.

So  much damage has already been done so no amount of aid can fix the Amazon. The best we can hope for is to reduce the damage.
I don't even know if replacing and replanting is possible. Many species can't be replaced and many plants can't be replaced.

At least they can stop it from getting worse.
