Animals and Hurricane Florence

This is such a big topic, but the alternative is to start a lot of smaller threads. I am going with one big thread about the various animal situations I have read about.

There are birds trapped in the eye of the storm. They are trying to survive in there and it is not clear whether they will or not.

 The storm is still raging so we don't know how things are going to turn out.
There was some concern for farm animals. We don't know yet how they have managed. In days to come I am sure we are going to find out. I just hope it isn't bad news.
