Rabies alerts!
#1
I do mean rabies alerts, plural. There are alerts being issued in a number of places. That means these are not just isolated cases.
There is an actual rabies problem.

This past summer a young man in BC actually died of rabies when he had contact with a bat. The bat had rabies.

Clearly there is a problem. This would be a good time to be cautious around wildlife and to have all pets vaccinated for rabies.
By the time the symptoms of rabies are identified, it is too late to do anything. Prevention through vaccination is the only solution.
So iif your pets vaccinations are not up to date or you are not sure, it is better to be safe than sorry. Vaccinate NOW!
