Snowball the guinea pig rescued from sewer pipe

Snowball the guinea pig took off on an adventure. Somehow he ended up in a sewer pipe. They had to call out two Metropolitan Sewer District workers to rescue him. Someone actually had to go down into the pipe and nudge him out. He wouldn't come on his own.
Other than needing a very good bath, Snowball is fine.

I have to wonder what Snowball was looking for. Guinea pigs are not much for leaving home and seeking adventure. Why would he go into a sewer pipe?
I don't even know if Snowball could answer those questions. If they gave him a plate of veggies after his bath he has probably already forgotten all about it.
