Anti fur protest in Toronto
#1
Fur Free Toronto staged a protest at Saks store to bring attention to the fur they sell and the cruelty it represents. Other big name stores like Nordstrom have already chosen to go fur free.  Wearing fur is a thing of the past and it is time for the fur industry to end.

The protesters were wrapping the display of furs with police caution tape when an employee  tried to stop them and ended up collapsing the display.

This was part of an Animal Bill of Rights action held in downtown Toronto with Direct Action Everywhere Toronto.

When the  employee collapsed the fur display it was a message in itself. The fur industry is  collapsing. People are rejecting fur as a fashion statement.
People really don't wear fur coats like they used to. Even fur trim is less popular. More and more stores and fashion houses are rejecting fur.
There could come a year when the sale of fur is banned in Toronto. If the sale of fur is banned then there is no need for trapping and fur farming.
It is all a dying industry and as one part dies, the other parts die too.

Better the industry dies than helpless animals.
