Search for entangled Blue Whale

There is a search taking place off of California for a Blue Whale that is entangled in some kind of fishing lines. Whales have been freed before, but never one as large as a Blue Whale.

They are tracking the whale, but they have been unable to actually connect with it.

The latest update has the whale as far south as Mexico.

I hope they can get to him and help him before the lines do permanent damage or even kill him.

Yes I too hope they can find him, and it is very good of them to make the effort to do that. We hear some terrible stories of how animals are treated, but also hear good things about how humans do care, and will work hard to help a creature in distress.
I hope he is found soon before the line takes its toll on him.

The whale has been spotted again. He is off the coast of Mexico. So far they have not been able to reach him. I think they can't help him unless he comes further north or further south.

I am sure they will eventually help him, but it must be frustrating for rescuers to be so close and then lose sight of him. If I hear more I will post it.
