Australian Greyhound update

We all remember the scandal that rocked the Australian Greyhound "industry" last year. One would hope that things are better for the dogs.
They are not!

They are being sold to China, Macau and Vietnam.
They are kept in cruel conditions and forced to race for their lives. A dog that loses is killed.
All the inhumane practices of live baiting and worse are used to train them.

You think you have seen the worst, but somehow there is always something more shocking.
These dogs are sent to countries where there are no animal protection laws. Of course it is worse. The people who sent them, know it is worse. No doubt they are the same people who didn't care about the dogs when they lived in Australia.

There is always some 'loophole'....this is one of them. How can anyone treat dogs this way? Those traders know the countries the dogs are being sent to do not care, and that they will suffer horribly. I don't know how they can sleep at night.
Where is the petition, catslave? Can you remember what the link was?

The more we hear about it the clearer it becomes that the whole greyhound industry needs to be shut down world wide. Nothing less will end this cruelty. We seem to have the inability to treat greyhounds well.
