Animal architecture: urban planning for animals
#1
Architect Joyce Hwang is seriously looking at our urban planning and architecture and figuring out ways to incorporate animals needs into the plans.  I think I understand her plan. I certainly like the idea.

Every time we plant a tree we are trying to make things better. Some of these ideas are better thought out and way more complex.  I would love to see us plan for the animals in our midst.

What an excellent idea. Many people can also create wildlife habitats in their own gardens (for hedgehogs, newts and many other species) and at the very least, bird nesting-boxes can be fixed up on outside walls. It all helps. But Ms Hwang's ideas are interesting and I hope they work out well.

Our cities would be much nicer places if we planned them for every creature that will live in them. We could work with nature instead of fighting it.

A lot of us have worked at making our gardens more nature friendly.

Now if only we can build things that work for all.
