Horrible dog thefts in China
#11
There have already been cases of severe food poisoning. I don't think that was from Yulin....but from another place. Those cases were connected with unscrupulous ways the meat dealers killed the dogs, with poison such as arsenic, strychnine, etc
I am sorry to mention something so horrible. The only reason I mention it is because instances like these are bound to sway local  public opinion.

Eating dog meat from a dog that died of poison is very dangerous. Arsenic accumulates in the body until it kills us. Strychnine and cyanide both are so dangerous that even handling the meat is risky.

The risk of disease transmission is high as well.

For public health reasons alone this should be stopped.
