Baby Beluga Whale rescued
#1
A newborn Beluga Whale was found in the St, Lawrence River.
It was so young it still had the umbilical cord attached.
She was stuck on the stones and the people who found her were able to keep her wet.

The big problem is finding a female to nurse her. She needs the be fed for two years.

Introducing her to other whales is her only hope.

It is a very faint hope.

Right now she is out there hopefully finding a mom. We just have to wish her well and hope for the best.  Her whole species is in trouble. She symbolizes what is happening to her whole species. It might make it, but it is not looking good.
