Buenos Aires Zoo disaster

Buenos Aires Zoo was closed a year ago. It was  a total mess and the animals were not being well cared for. The animals were to be relocated to sanctuaries and better places where they could live well and in peace.
A year later the animals are still there in their unsuitable cages and little has been done. No real plans have been made to move the animals.

None of this has been well thought out. It doesn't sound like anyone has any idea how to get things going. They don't even have any vague plans other than the idea that something should be done.
The orangutan should have been moved to a sanctuary years ago. Now that the zoo is closed there is no reason not to move her.

I don't know what it will take to get things going, but another year of neglect is too much for these poor animals.
