It is world Elephant Day!
Elephants are special and they should be celebrated. They also need our help. Elephants are killed for their tusks. Elephants are used and abused in captivity. It is a sign of how gentle our elephant friends are that we have been able to do this to them. Elephants are sensitive and intelligent and they need out help everywhere.

I am sure there are many more groups out there doing things to help elephants. Some of them would be local groups helping in their own particular area. It will take the efforts of all of us to help special creatures. I wouldn't want to imagine a world without elephants. Lets hope we never have to live the reality.
