Animal snuggling breaks in the work place.
#1
Instead of a coffee break, what if you could take a puppy break or a bunny break. Squeals on Wheels and Tiny Tails to You will give you just that, a break that involves snuggling a pet.

This is the latest trend in the work place. Work in an office is very stressful these days. Bringing in tiny pigs, bunnies, puppies and even bearded dragons does a lot to relax people.

This is like a new form of therapy animal. It is the work place itself that needs the "therapy". Bringing in pets humanizes and creates a warm relaxing moment in a place that is otherwise stressful.

Some places already allow you to bring your dog to work. This brings pets to people who don't have time for pets of their own.
The name Squeals on Wheels is brilliant. Now if only we could have Snakes on Wheels for me.

That would be a good idea ....for some animals who enjoy socialising with humans and being showered with "human-ness".
It wouldn't work so well for those who don't like being handled too much, or messed about with.

Yes contact with animals in a work environment is very "earthing" and can help with stress, and bring a little normality and sometimes humour. Some offices used to have fish tanks for that purpose. Although fish are not exactly a laugh a minute like a dog might be....it is very relaxing to watch them!

It is often very relaxing to spend time with an animal. Every evening when I visit the cat, Sally, we sit together in dim light and listen to classical radio on low volume. I almost always nearly fall asleep! Sometimes I do, and dream I'm walking home! haha Smiley4

Animals relax us and lower our blood pressure.  Having a pet in the work place humanizes it and makes it more comfortable for the workers. I think the animals that are brought to the work place are ones that are comfortable with human interaction.
It don't think it is just the type of animal that is chosen, it is the individual of the species that is selected. Not all animals are suited to do this kind of work. It is like service dogs. Some work out and some don't.

I wish we would use animals in more settings like this. A dog in the workplace is good. How about dogs working to calm rush hour crowds on the subway or in the mall. When the train gets stuck in the tunnel...again... I wouldn't mind so much if there  was a dog on board.

Your time with Sally Cat is precious. I love the image of you and Sally listening to classical music together.
