Wild Animals to be banned from UK circuses by 2020
#1
It is long over due, but better late than never. There are only two circuses with wild animal licences in England and by 2020 they will no longer be able to have those animals as part of their performances. It is finally recognized that they cannot meet the animals needs while traveling with their circus.

It is slow and steady, but some day all circuses everywhere will be banned from having performing wild animals.
I think the public no longer wants to see such performances and there is a general recognition that it is not fair to the animals.
They deserve better lives than the circus can give them. Also the training of circus animals is inherently cruel.

This is another victory for animal rights. Let us hope there are many more.
