How do dogs process words
#1
Scientists Berns  and Pritchard have been studying the response of dogs brains to words. They have trained dogs to stay still in MRI machines so the can see how the dogs brain responds. They want to know what really happens when dogs hear words.

I think the results are interesting so far. No doubt  more work needs to be done. Dog's brains respond to words. They respond differently to words that they know compared to nonsense sounds. Dogs know more than was previously thought. Every dog owner knows this, now we are closer to having some scientific proof.   As long as there are treats involved, I am sure the dogs are happy to cooperate.
