Stop the Deopohkari animal sacrifice festival

Here is news of yet another animal sacrifice festival. As usual it is a religious festival, this time to appease an evil goddess who drowns children. 
A female baby goat is thrown in a pond where she is punched, bitten, and literally torn apart as she drowns.  It is brutal. 
Animal Recovery Mission is working to make the cruelty known to the public and to stop the cruelty.

It is hard to believe that there are so many cruel "festivals" in the world. It seems that we have to root them out one at a time. We have to stop these cruelties if we are ever going to progress as a species. It is long past time for these brutal practices to stop. Killing a goat isn't going to prevent children from drowning. 
Swimming lessons would be a lot more effective. I am serious here. Teaching your children to swim is the best defense against drowning. That and some good basic water safety training.

Animal cruelty doesn't produce and good results.
