Insect Emergency!
#1
We are facing a real insect emergency as insect numbers decline and species go extinct. Insects make up the majority of species on the planet and they are the foundation of most food chains. Many other species are dependent on insects for their survival.
Plants need insects to pollinate them. Birds and lizards and small mammal species require insects as food. If the insects decline then the resto of the animals decline too.

This is a real emergency and sadly much of the problem is caused by us. This is part of a larger biodiversity crisis. Animal species are disappearing at an alarming rate. The consequences will not be good and if we want life to continue as it is we need to make changes. We will have to set aside more land for non human species. We need  protect and reverse habitat loss. If we don't the consequences could be catastrophic. We don't have a lot of time left to act on this. Will future generations be proud of us for how we acted or will they be really mad at us for causing irreversible destruction of our planet.
