A man and his dog rescue two dogs from a frozen lake
#1
Two dogs walked out onto a frozen lake and fell through the ice. They were trapped and in danger of dying from the cold.
A  man and his golden retriever happened by at the right moment. The man broke through the ice to reach the first dog. His own dog was right there with him as he guided the dog to shore. Then they went back and rescued the second dog that was further away. He was safely brought to shore and both dogs are fine now.

This was a matter of good timing and a willingness to help. The water would still be very cold even though the ice is getting thinner. The two dogs would have died of hypothermia if help had not come when it did.
It is good to know that there are people who are willing to risk themselves to save others. It makes up for other stories that we hear about.

Those two dogs don't know how lucky they were for Yuriev and Melissa to be right there! As they both had cold water training, they were all ready for a rescue like that.
If it had been anybody else, they might have been unable to endure the cold to save these two dogs!
And Kira of course, bless her.

Good job -all three of them. Heart

It was an amazing set of circumstances. What were the odds of people who were trained coming along at the right moment. Not everyone would have known what to do or been able to do it.
