I think it is  a record.  I know it helped me when I did a two month stretch of cat sitting. It does get to be part of your daily routine.

It is sad that they are dismantling Sally's "home". They could have left it there for the summer so you could visit when you feed the fish.  I am glad that you can pass on the unwanted cat bed to a needy cat. That kind of makes it final though, doesn't it.

A chapter of your life has ended. I am sure something else will be there to fill the time. There will be other animals that need you or neighbours that you can visit. We are always needed somewhere. 

Too bad they didn't leave the radio. That would have been nice.
