Instagram to ban selfies with exotic animals
#1
The current trend of taking selfies with all kinds of exotic animals has proved harmful and even deadly to some animals. Animals held just to be used in selfies live very stress filled lives. In the case of baby dolphins, selfies have proved deadly.
These selfies are being taken so they can be posted on social media. Instagram one of the main social media platforms has decided to ban such selfies. Right now they are warning people when they post such pictures.

If Instagram follows though and actually bans exotic animal selfies, they will have blocked the reason that people take the pictures in the first place.
Instagram is not the only site that posts pictures like that, but they are a popular one. If they set a precedent other social media sites will feel compelled to follow their lead rather than be caught on the wrong side of this issue.

Pictures that lead to the deaths of baby dolphins should never be take. Once they are taken they should be banned from getting publicity on social media. This is a step towards ending the selfie madness that seems to be everywhere right now.
Good for Instagram for taking a stand.
