Large Korean dog meat market shut down
#1
One of south Korea's largest dog meat markets has been shut down. Local authorities have reached an agreement with the local dog meat vendors in the area to stop their businesses. The market will be turned into a park.

This is big. The public pressure against dog meat is having an effect. There is no doubt that the Humane Society International has played a big part in this. They have been working with dog meat farmers to help them shut down their businesses and produce other products on their farms. The  pressure against dog meat combined with a decreasing interest in eating it has finally brought results.

This isn't a total end to all dog meat markets, but it is a big market and it will influence other markets and gradually they will close too.
The end of this cruelty is in sight.

Very good news. The photos are very touching. After all the ill-treatment at the hands of humans, the dogs are seen licking their liberators.

I am always amazed at how the dogs respond when they are rescued. They seem to know they are being rescued and they forgive and forget all the horrors they have seen.
