Denver culls Canada Geese
#1
I am definitely not happy about this.
Denver and Colorado have decided to deal with their Canada Goose population by culling them. That is bad enough. They also plan to round them up when they are molting and can't fly. It is also summer time and breeding season. What about the baby geese?

Canada Geese can be aggressive and messy. Their numbers can grow quite quickly. Unfortunately their natural predators have been killed off so there isn't a proper balance. All that being said, why do they have to cull them. They could be relocated. A certain number could be caught and moved instead of caught and killed.  Not every wildlife encounter needs to have the solution of lets kill the animals.

There is something nasty about catching them when they can't fly.
There are other solutions. There are always other solutions.
