Goats help California fire fighters
#1
A herd of goats was hired last spring to clear the area around Ronald Reagan Presidential Library. They cleared a lot of flammable underbrush. This created a fire break area. That was enough to give fire fighters a chance to save the building.

I think goats are proving very useful for so many things. They clear weeds in city parks and they clear ski slopes. Now it seems they can help prevent the spread of fires. I think every small town in California should get a herd of goats to protect their residents. It is not the only thing that is needed, but it is something that has a positive effect.

It is sad to see so many people and animals displaced by these fires. Too many lives  have been lost.
Anything that would help prevent and control the spread of fires is well worth considering.
Goats are a green solution and they are a renewable resource.
