Sensor could save children and pets left in cars
#1
The university of Waterloo has developed a device that can detect the presence of a child or pet in a car.  This device can be programed to sound an alert. Since being left in a car is frequently fatal this sensor could save lives. If someone is alerted soon enough the child or pet could be saved.
It is hoped that this device could be marketed by 2020. It is possible that it could be included in all new cars some day.

This is great news. Every year children and pets die in hot cars. These are such preventable deaths. Something that would alert people could be a life saver. No child, no dog should ever die alone in a hot car because someone forgot. We have all kinds of technology. It is good that we are using it for such a good purpose.
