3D Lung Model created...animal lives will be saved
#1
With funding from Peta, through their International Science Consortium, Mat Tek Life Sciences has developed the EpiAlveolar.
The EpiAlveolar is composed of human cells from the lower respiratory track.  It can be exposed to substances and the effects studied.
Because the cells are actually human cells the response is that of human cells.  There is no more need for uncertain and inaccurate animal tests.

If labs can be convinced to use the EpiAlveolar models for lab tests, we can see a whole new era of scientific research. Research can become cruelty free. Also because it is human cells giving a human response tests can be done quicker and more accurately.
There is no need to keep testing on animals. There are valid alternatives.
