Earth Hour 2020 March 28, 8:30pm
#1
Let us all remember the planet and celebrate Earth Hour this Saturday, March 28, at 8:30pm, all time zones.
This year things will be a little different.
Quote:  In the midst of the global COVID-19 health crisis, Earth Hour marks a moment of solidarity for the planet as global communities unite and organize events digitally.
Earth hour events will recognize the planet while also recognizing the circumstances of the Covid 19 Pandemic.

In case you are not familiar with Earth Hour it was started in 2007 by the World Wildlife Fund. For one hour we turn out the lights
to raise awareness of our energy consumption and its effects on the planet.

I am in Toronto and much of our city is dark already. Only essential services are running. Our Earth hour will end up being more than a month.  The first thing I noticed after a week was how clear the air is. In the 32 years I have lived in Toronto I have never seen the air clear like this. Wouldn't it be good if when things return to normal Toronto made changes and kept the air clean.

In this current situation of a global pandemic that effects us all we should be very aware that the health of our planet is a global issue that effects us all and is the responsibility of us all. If we all made changes we could clear the air globally. We could change the future of our planet if we all work together.  Observing Earth Hour is a good place to start.
