Toronto Racoon gets cool in the pool
#1
Toronto is having some serious heat right now and we are all feeling a little hot and bothered, animals and people.
A couple looked out at their pool and saw a racoon investigating it. He then went to the steps into the pool and climbed in for a swim.
He does look really happy in the water and it would certainly cool him off. Wearing a fur coat on a hot day is not too comfortable.
He obviously felt right at home, he took several dips and sat on the deck to dry off after.

Our Toronto raccoons are real characters. They think the whole city is theirs. They are not shy about going anywhere and doing anything.
In fact they have taken over so much that Toronto is now considered the raccoon capital of the world.

Truthfully we love them and hate them at the same time. Mostly we love them. They are always getting into things and ending up in strange places.
One raccoon climbed a construction crane and yes, just like our city pigeons they do ride the subway system.

I looked out at my deck one night and a raccoon was sitting comfortably on my swing seat and yes he was swinging. He looked very comfortable.
One way or the other, the raccoons are here to stay and we have to live with them. They do make life much funnier.

I know I would miss the raccoons if we didn`t have them. If it stays hot I bet more raccoons start taking dips in the local pools.

Well, Raccoon, that was a very sensible thing to do. I bet he really enjoyed his swim. Smiley4

He kept getting back in the pool so I think he really had fun. If he tells other raccoons they could end up with a raccoon pool party.
That might not be the first time he went swimming either. He did seem to know his way around.

I love the way raccoons have tiny little hands and the way they hold things.

They can use those little hands to open jars and doors and cupboards and almost anything else. They are too clever.
