Dog found swimming miles from shore

A family out boating on lake Michigan found a dog swimming 4 miles from shore. They were able to bring the dog onto their boat and then return to shore. Other than being cold and wet she was fine. A quick scan showed a micro chip. The owners were contacted and soon they were reunited with their dog.
She had fallen off their sail boat. The poor dog was very tired after treading water for at least an hour.

This is a real happy ending. After an hour of treading water, the poor dog must have been ready to give up. We should never give up hope. Help can come when least expected and sometimes lost dogs can literally be plucked from the water safe and sound.
