Rescuing animals from Oregon wildfires
#1
It seems like there are wildfires everywhere these days and so many times animals are the victims. Those that survive are often displaced.
Pharmacist Andrea Miller went to visit her father in Oregon and ended up caring for animals injured and displaced by the wildfires.
She drove to the fire site and worked to sort the animals out, inventory them and care for them until they could be returned to their owners.
She worked with them all, cats and dogs, goats and horses and even alpacas.
It wasn't how she planned to spend her family visit, but there was a need and she filled it.

Sometimes the right person is in the right place at the right time. Clearly help was needed and Andrea was the right person to do it. She was able to organize the animals,  assess their injuries and then  actually care for them. Likely she would not have thought of going to Oregon to help with the animal fire refugees. She was already there and that was good timing. She did an amazing job.
