I don't know how I missed this. Last September 5000 pets were found dead in their shipping boxes and a shipping depot in China.
Clearly there was a mix-up and the animals were left too long without food or water.

This couldn't have happened if China did not have the practice of shipping pets the way it does.

It is a situation that is bound to end up in disaster. Thousands of animals are being shipped like ordinary packages and packages frequently get delayed.
If animals have to be shipped for some reason they must be handled differently than an ordinary box of socks or something that is non perishable.
I bet they are more careful shipping fruit and vegetables that can spoil.
If it were not for the rescue group Utopia non of the animals would have been saved.
