10 Rescue Orangutans released to the wild in Borneo.
#1
Borneo Orangutan Survival rescues orangutans from various situations, many of the abusive and exploitive. The Orangutans are rehabilitated and prepared for release into the wild. The pandemic put releases on hold for a while, but now they were able to release 10 orangutans into the Bukit Batikap Protection Forest.
They will be monitored 24/7 by a special team stationed at the release site.  The hope is that they can live normal lives and increase the wild population and contribute to the survival of the species.

Borneo Orangutan Survival does great work with orangutans. They currently have 419 orangutans in their care. They are hoping to do more releases soon.

Think of all the orangutans they have saved from horrible situations. Without the work of groups like this the orangutans would be lost. The individual orangutans would not survive and neither would the species itself. This is a conservation effort is critical to the survival of the species.
I hope the current ten new releases find lives in the forest and are able to increase the population by producing more orangutans who will be at home in the forest from birth.
