Wildlife photographers get some amazing pictures. However sometimes that amazing picture is also pretty funny.
To recognize this they hold Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards. This year any money raised will go towards the charity, Save Wild Orangutans.

I think it is good that they recognize funny wildlife photos. The really funny ones are good pictures, but they won't win a regular contest. They are just too different.
It is also a recognition that animals can be hilarious. They do silly things.
We can encourage conservation with beautiful touching animal photos. We can also encourage it by showing the lighter side of animals.
Animals are more like us than we realize. Most of us can relate to the goofy things they do.  I look forward to see seeing who wins the awards this year.
